Easy as pie. Berry, of course.
Sign up for an account. It only takes a few clicks to sign up for an account and link your Facebook profile. Do this at the top right hand corner of this website by selecting either ‘Login with Facebook,’ or ‘Login/Sign up’ if you don’t want to link your Facebook account.
Discover what others are saying. Read some letters and browse trending topics to find out what others are saying and how they’re feeling about hot topics right now. Or browse historical letters written as far back as the year 1900. Comment on letters in the collection when you have something to add, and share them with others. You’ll find several ways to browse, sort through the collection, and get involved by checking out the right hand column of the site.
Write a letter of your own. Follow prompts on the Submit a Letter page to write new open letters or to upload scanned images of old or historical letters. You can write to anyone– a friend or family member, or to a celebrity, public figure, organization or company who might just respond. A public copy will be kept in the Letterberry collection.
Be sure to include a photo of the recipient by using the visual editor button on the submit a letter page. You’ll need to find a photo online and then enter the url into the visual editor, or upload a photo from your computer. Finding a photo online is pretty simple if you search by name of the person you are writing to, find an image, and then click on that image to make it open up in its own window. Once that happens, copy the url from the address bar. When you go back to the Letterberry site and open up the visual editor to paste, find the little icon with a picture of a tree and click it to add your image.
Almost done! Now tag some keywords in your letter so we can all keep track of trending topics. Look at the letter you’ve written or uploaded and pick the words that seem most important. Enter those words, separated by commas. Your keywords will be used to track trending topics.
